AI & content safety

Create ambitious work.
Do not borrow someone’s identity.

Soclo supports advertising and creative work with yourself, properly authorised real actors and synthetic characters. The performer route changes the safety requirements, but not the responsibility to be truthful.

Public policy · updated 14 August 2026

Yourself

Be the star of your own advert.

Record, upload and edit your own performance. You still remain responsible for the claims, rights and people appearing in the material.

Approved real actor

Permission must be current and recorded.

The person’s likeness cannot be used without permission that can be located, withdrawn and acted on. Routes that do not meet the launch controls stay off.

Synthetic character

Create a performer, not a fake customer.

A synthetic actor may appear in an advert but cannot be presented as a named real customer, a genuine testimonial or proof for an unsubstantiated claim.

Prohibited across Soclo

The rules follow the content wherever it goes.

These rules apply to content generated in Soclo, uploaded to Soclo and published through a Soclo website.

Report content
Non-consensual likeness

Do not generate, animate, edit or imitate a recognisable person’s face or voice without current recorded permission.

Sexual or exploitative deepfakes

No sexualised likeness, intimate imagery, nudity manipulation, coercion or exploitation.

Fraud and impersonation

No fake customers, reviews, support, billing, banks, public bodies or misleading claims about who a person is.

Regulated and harmful claims

No unsubstantiated medical, financial, legal, political or other regulated claims; no illegal or seriously harmful content.

Safety or provenance bypass

Do not remove generation signals, evade provider controls, reuse another account’s actor identifier or defeat a verification flow.

Platform and automation abuse

No bulk unsolicited messages, scraping, credential sharing, fake engagement or reselling Soclo’s model access.

Likeness rights

A depicted person does not need a Soclo account to act.

01

Report

Send the URL or screenshot, where it appeared and a short description through the public report route.

02

Locate and contain

Soclo investigates the material, stops further processing where needed and uses the available generation and asset records.

03

Withdraw permission

A depicted person can withdraw consent and request erasure whether or not they are the account holder.

04

Confirm the outcome

Soclo explains what was removed, what could not be removed and the available complaint route.

Important facts

What Soclo does—and does not—claim.

No voice cloning. Soclo uses preset text-to-speech voices and does not offer a real-person voice clone.

No universal real-name verification claim. Real-person likeness capabilities are narrower and safety-gated; Soclo does not claim that every account has passed real-name authentication.

Generation records support investigation. Soclo uses available request, actor and asset records when investigating reported content. Visible watermarking is not currently enabled, so any route that requires it stays gated until that control is proved.

Unfinished safeguards are launch blockers. A route stays unavailable when its consent, record, suspension, reporting or deletion controls are not ready.
