Getting started with Soclo

The most common mistake with a tool like this is switching everything on at once. Soclo is a set of capabilities that happen to connect, not a single system you have to adopt whole. This guide covers the three decisions worth making before you do anything else.

1. Create the account

Soclo is a signed-in web app at app.soclo.app, and it is also live on iOS and Android. The account, your work and your credit balance are the same across all three, so it does not matter which one you start in. If you plan to write posts at a desk and approve them later on your phone, sign in on both now and save yourself the friction.

2. Pick one place to start

You do not need a plan for the whole business. Pick the job that is currently costing you the most time or the most customers, and ignore the rest of the app until that one is working.

If two of those apply, still choose one. The second is easier to add once the first is running, and you will have learned how the app behaves on something you already understand.

3. Understand plans and credits before you spend

Soclo has one shared credit wallet. The website, content, campaigns and Autopilot all draw from the same visible balance, so there is no separate pot to manage and nothing reserved that you cannot use elsewhere.

What costs nothing

It is worth being clear about the line, because it changes how you should try the product. Connecting your social accounts, publishing a post you wrote yourself, scheduling it, and looking at what has already happened do not consume credits. Generating something — copy, images, adverts, website content, or letting Autopilot do routine work on your behalf — does.

That means a sensible first week is: connect one account, publish a few things manually, and only then decide whether the generation is worth paying for. You will be judging it against your own writing rather than against a promise.

A reasonable first hour

1. Create the account and sign in on the device you will actually use most.
2. Fill in the Brand Kit. This is the highest-value ten minutes in the whole app — it is what stops generated drafts sounding like a generic marketing robot. Give it your tone, the words you use, and the words you never want to see.
3. Connect one account, not all of them. Pick the platform where your customers already are.
4. Publish one thing manually. This proves the connection works end to end before you rely on it.
5. Only then turn on something that spends credits, and check whether the result is better than what you would have written.

What is not open to everyone yet

Soclo is deliberately explicit about this, because a feature described in the future tense should not be quietly treated as available. What is still being completed is the renewal, domain and quality side of a live site: the pricing is already fixed, and nothing is being charged to keep a site live at the moment.
