Choosing the right plan

Every feature is on every plan. The tiers differ only in how many credits they include, so this is not a question of what you unlock — it is arithmetic about how much you intend to generate. Which makes it answerable properly.

What things actually cost

Credits are not abstract. Three kinds of work dominate the bill, and they are wildly different sizes:

Where the saving actually is

This is the part worth knowing before you subscribe, because it is not what most pricing pages imply.

Starter is the same price per credit as a top-up pack. Packs run 3.98p to 4.28p; Starter is 4.00p. So Starter buys you an automatic monthly refill and the habit of a budget — not a discount. If you value the refill, take it. If you would rather buy credits only when you need them, packs cost you nothing extra.

The per-credit saving begins at Pro, which is 2.50p — a little over a third cheaper than topping up. Business is 2.00p and Autonomy 1.67p. Yearly billing takes those to 2.08p, 1.60p and 1.33p. At the top end you are paying about a third of the top-up rate for the same work.

Choosing without guessing

1. Start on Free and buy the smallest pack. Credits never expire, so nothing is wasted and nothing is committed.
2. Do a few weeks of real work. Not experiments — the posts you would have made anyway.
3. Look at what you actually used. That number, not an aspiration, is your monthly requirement.
4. Pick the tier that covers it with headroom, then use top-ups for the occasional busy month rather than sizing up permanently.
5. Only then consider yearly. Starter and Pro need ten months to break even; Business and Autonomy pay off sooner because the discount is a straight 20%.

Three honest signals you are on the wrong plan

• You keep running out in week three. The next tier up is almost certainly cheaper than repeated top-ups, because the per-credit rate improves.
• You end most months with most of the allowance unused. Drop a tier. Unused credits on a subscription are not a saving.
• You are on Starter and want video. The arithmetic does not work — one standard video is three-quarters of the month, and a best-quality one is more than the whole month.

The part that is free

Worth restating, because it changes how you should trial this: connecting your accounts, publishing work you wrote yourself, scheduling it and reading your existing activity do not consume credits at all.
