How Soclo is organised

Soclo is arranged around what you are trying to do rather than which tool you are using, which is why it does not look like a folder of features. There are five areas. Most businesses genuinely live in one or two of them, and knowing which is which saves a lot of poking about.
The five areas
Home — what needs you today
The place to glance at, not to work in. It surfaces what is waiting: messages that need a reply, whether anything is scheduled, what is connected, and the switches for how much Soclo is doing on your behalf. If nothing needs you, Home says so rather than inventing something to show.
Strategy — deciding what to do
Your goal, your plan and your next move. This is where a direction gets set, drafts wait for your approval, and you can record a result — a sale, a booking, an enquiry — so the app is working from what actually happened rather than guessing.
You are not required to start here. If you already know what you want to post, go straight to Create. Strategy earns its place once you are publishing regularly and want the next month to be a decision rather than a scramble.
Create — making the thing
The workshop, and where most people spend their time. It covers starting from an idea, starting from content you already have — a photo or video you took — and the ordinary jobs that eat evenings: cutting a long video into short clips, turning a batch of photos into posts, reformatting something for a different platform.
Two things worth knowing. Work in progress is kept as drafts and finished material stays in your library, so starting on a phone and finishing at a desk is normal. And publishing something you wrote yourself costs no credits — only generation does.
Inbox — customer conversations
Messages and comments from your connected platforms in one place, so a question asked on Instagram at nine at night does not sit unseen in an app you rarely open. Conversations can be filtered by what still needs a reply, which is usually the only view that matters.
Results — what actually happened
Sales, advertising, social activity and conversations, side by side. The part worth understanding is the discipline: every figure appears with its source, its reporting window and how fresh it is, and platform attribution is labelled as attribution rather than presented as proof that a post caused a sale.
That is unusual and deliberate. It means Results will sometimes tell you it does not know something, which is more useful than a confident number you cannot act on.
Where the settings that matter live
| What you want to change | Where it is |
|---|---|
| Add or remove a platform | Connected accounts |
| Your plan, credits, top-ups | Subscription and credits |
| Name, address, hours, contact | Business profile |
| How much Soclo does for you | AI autonomy |
| Your voice, colours, offers, FAQs | Brand Kit |
| Password, or deleting your account | Account and security |
| Light or dark, notifications | Appearance, Notifications |
Two of those matter far more than the rest at the start. The Brand Kit decides whether generated work sounds like your business, and AI autonomy decides how much happens without you. Everything else can be left alone for weeks.
What you can ignore at first
Genuinely most of it. A useful first fortnight touches three things: fill in the Brand Kit, connect one account, publish a few posts you wrote yourself. That costs nothing, proves the path end to end, and gives you something real to judge the generation against later.
Advertising, autonomy settings, planning and reporting all become useful once there is activity to work with. Turning them on before there is anything to report on produces empty screens and a vague sense of failure.
Soclo is explicit that a feature described in the future tense is not quietly treated as available. The owner-facing website builder is open to everyone on the current app, though it is being rebuilt at pace and changes week to week. AI presenters and ad campaigns are not switched on yet. The product updates page is the authoritative list of what is live today, and worth a look before you plan around anything.
The shape behind it
The five areas follow a loop: create something, attract attention, book the customer, get paid, learn from it, improve the next attempt. That is why publishing, conversations and payments are in the same app rather than three — the point is that context moves with the work instead of being rebuilt in every tool.
You do not have to walk the whole loop. Plenty of businesses use Soclo only to publish, or only to take payment. The loop is there for when the next part becomes useful, not as a condition of the first part working.
Where to go next
Getting started with Soclo covers the first hour and the plans. Setting up your Brand Kit is the highest-return thing you can do before generating anything. Publishing your first post walks through what happens when one post becomes several.
Common questions
Where do I start if I have just signed up?
Settings, to fill in the Brand Kit and connect one account. Then Create, to make and publish one post you wrote yourself. Everything else can wait until you have proved that path works.
Do I have to use all five areas?
No. Most businesses live in one or two. Create and Inbox cover the day-to-day for a lot of people; Strategy and Results matter more once you are publishing regularly and have something to review.
What is the difference between Strategy and Create?
Strategy is deciding what to do and when. Create is making the thing. If you know what you want to post, go straight to Create — you are not required to plan first.
Why does Results show where every figure came from?
Because a number without its source, its reporting window and its freshness is not evidence. Platform attribution is labelled as attribution rather than presented as proof that something caused a sale.
Some things say they are coming or in preview — why?
Soclo separates what is live from what is still being earned rather than describing everything in the present tense. The product updates page is the authoritative list, and it is worth checking before you plan around a feature.
